Digital maps to be used in the Census 2011
Enumeration for the Census of India 2011 in Chennai (an Indian city) will commence in June, according to Chennai Corporation Commissioner, Rajesh Lakhoni. The enumerators would use ward-level digital maps that have been prepared utilising GIS.

DMCii has welcomed UK govt’s announcement that the UK has joined forces with the Indonesian government to tackle deforestation and prepare Indonesians for the impacts of climate change. DMCii employs a constellation of 5 satellites that provide consecutive images of the forest as it changes.
